Main features
- No-Mix Surface Activation
- Two-Hour Assembly Window
- Low-Viscosity Controlled Application
Product Description
Permabond Initiator 46 is an amber liquid initiator used as the activation component in compatible Permabond no-mix acrylic bonding systems. It is applied to one surface while the adhesive is applied to the mating surface, allowing the components to be assembled without premixing the two materials. In the TA4246 system, parts should be bonded immediately and within two hours after initiator application. The initiator has an approximate viscosity of 70 mPa s at 23 deg C and a relative density of 0.97. It functions as an initiator and is not a standalone adhesive.
Key features
- No-Mix Activation: Applied separately from the compatible adhesive to eliminate premixing.
- Two-Hour Assembly Window: TA4246 components may be bonded within two hours after initiator application.
- Low-Viscosity Liquid: Approximate viscosity of 70 mPa s at 23 deg C supports thin application.
Applications
Applications include initiation of compatible Permabond no-mix acrylic bonding processes, including TA4246.
