Product Description
Permabond 4C40 is a colorless, one-part ethyl cyanoacrylate adhesive for medical-device and large-gap bonding applications. Its medium-high viscosity of 1,200-2,400 mPa s at 25 deg C provides controlled placement and gap filling up to 0.43 mm. Typical fixture time is 5-10 seconds on steel, Buna N rubber, and phenolic, with full strength developing after 24 hours. The cured adhesive reaches 20-22 N/mm2 shear strength on steel and 85 Shore D hardness. Applications include metals, ceramics, plastics, elastomers, polyacetals, and passivated metal surfaces.
