Product Description

Permabond UV630 is a single-part, low-viscosity methacrylate adhesive for fast UV bonding of plastics, including polycarbonate. The clear liquid has a typical viscosity of 250 mPa s at 25 deg C and cures across 365 to 420 nm. Depending on lamp output and substrate transmission, fixture time on acrylic ranges from 10 seconds with a 4 mW/cm^2 battery lamp to 2 seconds with a 300 mW/cm^2 light guide. The cured adhesive combines typical tensile strength of 14 N/mm^2 with 110% elongation and high shear and impact resistance for assemblies using substrates with different coefficients of thermal expansion.
