PERMABOND UV640
Harmonization Code : 3907.30.00.40 | Epoxy Mold Compounds containing by weight more than 70 % silicon dioxide

Main features
- Fast Low-Power UV Cure
- High-Elongation Plastic Bonding
- Clear Polycarbonate Assembly
Product Description
Permabond UV640 is a single-part, medium-viscosity methacrylate adhesive developed for rapid UV bonding of plastics, including polycarbonate and acrylic. The clear liquid cures on demand across 365 to 420 nm, with typical fixture times from 2 to 10 seconds under the listed lamp conditions. At 25 deg C, viscosity is 3,000 to 5,000 mPa s at 20 rpm. The cured adhesive combines 13 N/mm^2 tensile strength with 110% elongation and 55 to 75 Shore D hardness, supporting plastic assemblies and joints between substrates with different coefficients of thermal expansion.
Key features
- Fast Low-Power UV Cure: Typical fixture time is 2 to 10 seconds under the listed UV lamp conditions.
- Medium-Viscosity Placement: Viscosity is 3,000 to 5,000 mPa s at 25 deg C and 20 rpm.
- High-Elongation Cured Bond: The cured adhesive reaches 110% elongation with 13 N/mm^2 tensile strength.
Applications
Applications include bonding polycarbonate, acrylic, and other supported plastics, including assemblies with different coefficients of thermal expansion.
